APHVN Limited ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") is committed to protecting the privacy of users of our Loov application (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Data We Collect
A. Data You Provide
- Account information: when you register, we collect data such as a first name and, where applicable, an email address to create your account. You can also start as a guest.
- Profile and preferences: your name, age, gender, who you are interested in, the relationship tropes you pick, your boldness setting, and similar setup choices, used only to personalise the App and build your deck.
- Characters you create: the looks, personality, and backstory of characters you design, including any you share to the community.
- Communications: if you contact support or report AI output from within the App, we collect your contact details and the contents of your report or messages.
B. Conversation Data
- Chat messages: the messages you exchange with AI characters are stored with your account so your matches can remember you, conversations can continue over time, and your progress (chat levels, matches, unlocks) can be tracked.
- AI processing: your messages are shared with AI language model and speech synthesis providers during a conversation solely to generate the character's replies, voice notes, and images. These providers process conversation content to provide the service to us and are not permitted to sell it.
- Vibe profile: the App derives a personality fingerprint (such as warmth, wit, and boldness) from the way you chat, used only to personalise your experience inside the App.
C. Data We Collect Automatically
- Device and network data: IP address, operating system, device type, app version, language, and push notification tokens.
- Usage and analytics data: the features you use, screens you view, and in-app events, collected to maintain and improve the App.
- Purchase data: your subscription status and gem balance, validated through our payment partners. We never see your full payment details.
2. Sensitive Conversations
Loov is a companion app, and what you say to your matches may be personal. We treat conversation content with care: it is used only to run the Service, is never used for advertising, and is never sold. We do not use your conversations to build profiles for any purpose other than the in-app features you can see, such as your vibe profile and your matches' memory of you. You can delete conversations or your entire account at any time from within the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide the Service: build your deck, run conversations, generate character replies, voice notes and photos, and track matches, chat levels, and unlocks.
- Notifications: send push notifications such as messages from your matches and reminders (you can turn these off in your device settings).
- Safety and moderation: review in-app reports of AI output and operate our moderation safeguards.
- Improve the Service: analyse aggregated usage to fix bugs and build new features.
- Subscriptions and purchases: process and validate in-app purchases via our payment partners.
- Security and legal: detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)
We rely on contractual necessity to provide the Service, your consent where we ask for it (such as notifications), legitimate interests to improve and secure the Service, and legal obligations where they apply.
5. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with:
- AI model providers: to generate character replies from the conversation. Conversation content is processed to provide the service to us and may not be sold or used to advertise to you.
- Speech and image providers: to synthesise character voice notes and generate character photos.
- Service providers: hosting, database, analytics, and push delivery.
- Payment partners: Apple, Google, and RevenueCat to process and validate subscriptions and purchases.
- Legal authorities: where reasonably necessary to comply with the law.
6. Retention and Security
We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures. You can delete conversations, characters you created, your data, or your entire account at any time from within the App.
7. International Transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place.
8. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. To exercise them, contact us below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Children's Privacy
Loov is intended for adults and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
